  • WHERE is Eddie Shack's funeral being held??

There are all sorts of news stories about the passing of hockey legend Eddie Shack, but there's no true obituary. Where the headings say 'obituary', all it does is mention his hockey career., & does not say what funeral home or where the funeral will be. Any info on this? Where can I find this information?

  • Am I better protected??

I'm told there's a higher risk of developing DVT with Orthopaedic surgeries especially on the lower extremeties. I'm having shoulder replacement surgery which of course is not a lower extremity. However, I do take Eliquis which is an anti-coagulant. Yes, I stop 2 days prior to the procedure & likely will resume 2 days afterward. Of course, I'll be walking around, etc. The risk is 2-10 days after surgery, but could be as long as 3 months. When reading various articles re this, it doesn't mention people already being on an anticoagulant, just that the Dr. would use

a prophylatic approach, i.e. anticoagulant. Since I'm already taking an anti-coagulant, & will be ambulatory, am I better protected & the risk lower?

    Thanks

  • How do I know when to start therapy?

I'm having shoulder replacement surgery in less than a week. I'll be in hospital

overnight, discharged the day after surgery if all is ok. I don't have any idea as to when I'd start physio therapy. Does my Dr. inform me, will it be on my discharge papers? I want to do everything that's right to help ensure success with this procedure. Thanks!

  • What does "left articulation" mean?

I got results back from an xray that was taken of my shoulder. I have advanced osteoarthritis, but it says "in the left humeral articulation".

    What does this mean? Thanks!

  • How do I correct this annoyance??

For the past few days, I get an error.."page cannot be found". At the bottom left of the screen it says 'resolving host"., then I get the 'page cannot be found" error,

then it will give me the page. This happens in Chrome mostly. I've cleared the cache, & cookies., even uninstalled & reinstalled the browser, restarted the computer, but the situation persists. I find this happens mostly in the mid-late afternoons. I've used IE...same problem. What can I do to resolve this issue?

  • Would the doctor examine the tendons?

I am awaiting reverse shoulder arthroplasty. When the surgeon is performing this type of surgery, does he/she examine the tendons, i.e. supra/infraspinatus as well as replacing the ball & socket?

    Thanks!!

  • I don't get the uproar about the Confederate flag...do you?

The Confederate flag was the flag flown by the Confederate States of America (the South). The Stars& Stripes was flown by the Union (North). While the southern states did practice slavery, the flag doesn't mean it condones nor does it mean it denounces it. American history teaches us that the Stars & Stripes represented the Union, whereas the Confederate flag represented the Confederates States of American. Why on earth would anyone attempt to change history whether we liked it or not. History is history..

  • Which would be the more accurate?

I'm awaiting shoulder surgery, but it has been postponed because of Covid.

On Aug. 30/2019 CT scan said I had moderate glenohumeral osteoarthritic changes. Moderate is Stage 3. On Mar. 16/2020 for pre-op X ray said moderate inferior glenohumeral osteophytes.

I'm with the understanding that osteophytes are the result of osteoarthritis??? What do you think is going on??

  • Do you think SHOULDERS would be included as well?

We've heard that Ontario may be resuming the elective surgeries in a few weeks provided they make certain criterias. The Minister of Health has said that Cardiac & Cancer surgeries would be among the first to proceed along with knee & hip replacements? Could that mean that Total Shoulder Replacement would be included??? Thanks!

  • CORONATION STREET...Do you think Yasmeen is really dumb or is she very naive??

Frankly, I'm getting fed up with Yasmeen's stupidity regarding Geoff. Of all the times she has cleaned their home, she hasn't found the camera??? Also, Geoff has an answer for everything..yet she doesn't clue in.

What do you think?...is she really dumb, naive, or just frightened?

  • Does "neutralized" mean the harm has been removed??

My Kaspersky Internet Security did a vulnerability scan, & reported that one of my browsers had a vulnerability, but it further went on to say it had been "neutralized". Does this mean the potential harm has been removed??

  • What tests might have to be redone?

I was scheduled for surgery April 11 but of course it was cancelled due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic. My Surgeon told me it could take 3 months to 6 months for us to get to surgery. If it's 3 months; fine..but if it's 6 months we have to start again. Would that mean I'd have to have ALL the tests redone, i.e. MRI; CT scan, Pre-operative Xray??? At my hospital it can take as long as 4 months for MRI.A friend said they may see those tests had been done previously, surgery had been booked but cancelled, & they just may require the usual bloodwork etc., & perhaps another xray. What do you think?

  • Is it really necessary for hospital to cancel ALL elective surgeries??

We're all in a mess over this Covid-19 situation. Now hospitals, at least in Ontario are postponing/cancelling elective surgeries to free up equipment. Can you imagine hospitals becoming an Intensive Care unit over the Covid-19 virus? There have been just 2 deaths in Canada. Yes, some may wind up being hospitalized, but to cancel most or all elective surgeries seems extreme.

Do you think the postponements/cancellations are necessary?

  • What would happen in an instance such as this??

We all know what's going on because of the Covid-19 virus. Markets are falling like leaves. I've lost a good chunk of my investment portfolio in just the last few days. It's mandatory that monies in a RRIF are to be withdrawn each year. IF everything in the portfolio is lost, it's impossible to draw from something that no longer exists. What might the Govt do in that situation???

  • Where can I find an address to write a letter?

I"m so fed up with the way back-up goaltenders for the Leafs are being treated. Hutchinson was rarely played,& treated horribly. Campbell who has played extremely well, isn't playing that much now. Andersen is played far too much, & you never know if he's going to have a good or bad game.

Who can I write to about this, & what address do I sent the letter to?

    Thanks!!!

  • Must I still withdraw from the RRIF that is not mature??

Contributed to TWO RRSP's during 2019. One for $1,000.00, the other for $3000.00. Both were done just a few weeks & now have been converted to RRIF. The $3,000.00 matures in a few weeks, while the $1.000.00 does't mature until 2022. I wanted to close them both, pay the taxes & be done with it, but the Financial Advisor said the $1000.00 does't mature 'til 2022. Do I still have to draw from it because it's a RRIF?

  • Would you find this behaviour to be suspicious?

My roomy spends a lot of time on a tablet.

Tonight, he just got out of his chair, took his tablet with him to his bedroom, & clicked the door shut. He was in there for about 1 1/2 min. Also,I find candy wrappers in the garbage. What he does is his business, but I find these things unusual;especially the bit about the tablet. I think he's up to something. What do you think?

  • Is this possible?

I know if an ipad is lost/stolen it can be traced via the serial number if the ipad was set up for that. However, when sending an email, can that serial number be traced ss the sender or does the same rule apply that an ip address is where the email was sent.

  • What's the difference??

My MRI of 10 months ago stated that I have relatively advanced Osteoarthritis of the glenohumeral joint & the humerous slightly subluxed. There are lots of other tings. A CT scan says moderate glenohumeral changes, but no fracture or subluxation. My Orthopaedic Surgeon ordered the CT scan because we're planning surgery. Also CT scan state there is a 9mm subchondral cyst involving inferior aspect of the glenoid bone. I do have a lot of pain. What's the difference between the two scans (Osteoarthritis). Do you think surgery will still proceed?
