  • Does burning 100 calories through exercise and eating 100 less calories have the same effect on burning fat?

Theoretically they would have the same effect, but I would have thought that the 100 cal lost through exercise would be more effective for fat loss?

  • Is it true that interval training/sprinting is better @ releasing fatty acids and jogging is better @ burning.?

So to maximise fat loss, doing 30 mins of interval training to release the fatty acid and then an additional 30 mins of jogging to burn the fatty acid, would be the best way? Or am I misinformed. Could anyone clarify this? Thanks in advance.

  • When running in the morning on an empty stomach, does the body use up glycogen or fat first?

I read that for the first 20 minutes of running, that the body uses its glycogen stores, is this true? It would be frustrating running for 20 minutes and not actually burning any fat.

I believe that the bus and train are better than travelling by car. Last week, when I went to see the Bond film I went by train because it is quite cheap and very quick. Next month I am going to the gym with my teacher Mr. Blache in Oxford Street, I will go by bicycle. I think the congestion charge is good for the environment and also good for my health.
