I live with my aunt who has three dogs that are NOT friendly with my cat at all! I have to keep her confined to one bedroom until school's out and we can move into our own house. ( Don't bother saying it's cruel and stuff because I know it is but I have no other option aside from giving her away but that is completely out of the picture) So, my brother also says in the bedroom with me. My cat has free dry food anytime she wants but she only eats when she needs to and seems to stop when she has had enough. (she is not over weight at all. She is just the right size I think. She may be alittle bit on the skinny side) She has water all the time that is changed every other day. (it's a large bucket because she refuses to drink out of a bowl.) so, here's the problem... She tends to vomit a lot. Sometimes everyday and sometimes we won't see her puke for a two to three days. Either way, my brother is tired of it. While I was away at camp for four days, without me knowing, he was letting her out into the breakroom (where the dogs aren't but she can still get out) because he says it makes her not puke so much. I don't want to risk her getting out of the breakroom and into a dog's mouth. So, how can I stop/prevent her from vomiting? Is it just because she needs some fresh air? (I have found that leaving the window open a crack through the night reduces the number of vomits) Is she too scrunched up in the room? Is it something in her food? (switching to wet food just simply isn't acceptable right now) She is 8 years old. Could it just be age possibly? Either way, can you PLEASE try to help me? I don't want to lose her! Thanks
P.S The brand of food she eats is Seafood Sinsations for Friskies. If you've had problems with vomiting and that brand, can you suggest a new brand? She tends to switch easily to a different food and it doesn't bother her.
