About a month ago, my grandad’s cat was very ill and didn’t eat or drink for almost two weeks. The vets concluded it was constipation and gave him a course of medicine. He started to gain weight again and we thought everything was fine, until today when I noticed that he was breathing quite fast and shallowly. He doesn’t seem to be in pain or anything and purrs when I stroke him, and he still eats (though not as much as he used to)... I couldn’t say how long this has lasted, but I noticed that he had the same fast breathing in a video that was sent to me two weeks ago. Behaviour wise, he seems pretty much the same (with the exception of not eating as much).
Is this something to be worried about if the vets examined him not that long ago? He is 7 years old.
