I m a new fish owner, and I mistakenly impulse-bought a betta fish a few months ago. I kept him in a 0.89 gallon bowl for three months until I realized my mistake. I just finished setting up his 10 gallon tank, and I acclimated how I read was appropriate for him. However, as I was monitoring him to see how he was doing, I noticed that the current the filter provides is way too strong. When he swam around the place where the water falls, he was pushed dow by what I guess was the water pressure. Additionally, when he swam near the submerged part of the filter, the place where the water gets sucked up, his tail almost went in completely (he was able to swim away). I disconnected the filter immediately, but I don t know if I should plug it back on now. Is it okay if I leave it like that?
