  • 2000 Ford Taurus losing coolant/engine heating?

    there's no obvious leak

when the engine overheats, the heater inside the car blows out super-cold air. In fact, the super-cold air blowing is usually the first indication that I need to fill the coolant bottle again.

    Is this a thermostat problem?

Or heater core? (Heater works fine when car is full of coolant, although it's slow to heat up)

What should I be looking for?

  • questions about attribution?

When is it legally necessary to get permission to quote a line or two from a song? (I know that it's always needful to attribute.)

How does one go about getting such permission?

Who must the permission be from -- songwriter, band, publishers?

Is it necessary to get permission if one paraphrases the lines, so long as one acknowledges the source?

    Thank you.

  • How do I get a medical power-of-attorney?

I have always managed my husband's health care. The privacy laws have made this so much jumping-through-the-hoops. We want to get mutual PoAs so that he can get/give medical information if he ever has to, and of course so I can cointinue to take care of these things for him? How do we start. We are in Ohio.

  • Has anyone had experience with Helium? Good or Bad?

Several people I know have had bad experience -- one author was plagiarized, and then Helium dropped her and said she was the one doing the plagiarizing. They all reported them to preditors and editors and writer beware. What have been your experiences?

  • querying about publishing a series?

I know that to query for a novel, you don't want to talk about your planned series, or anything of that sort. You also don't want to come across as having the attitude "I have three books, take them all or none." I know each book can and should stand alone and can and should be queried as an individual offering.

BUT is it wrong to mention that you have other completed and ready-to-go manuscripts? (I know that each ms will need additional work, that ready-to-go is from the writers PoV only.)

  • How do I check or get rid of spam messages for yahoogroups?

I am a moderator for a yahoo group. It says at the top of the group that there are spam messages waiting for review. However I can't figure out how to check or delete these messages. What do I need to do, or will they go away on their own?
