A couple of years ago my daughter and I were in New York and had lunch at a diner on 6th Ave on the Upper East Side somewhere around E 70th (we had just been to the Frick). We are going back in February and she wants to repeat the experience. We can't find it on google street view. Does anyone have any ideas about where this (perhaps mythical) diner is, and what it is called?1 AnswerNew York City7 years ago
New York magazine has used one of my photos. I would like to have a hard copy. Does anyone know a newsagent with a wide range of international magazines in the Sydney CBD or Lower North Shore?3 AnswersNew South Wales (Sydney)9 years ago
I have a Subaru Forester. A soft roader. I will be spending a week or so around Hervey Bay. I have no off road experience (I have the car because of skiing). Fraser Island is not far away. What are the tracks on the island like? Do they need any special skill to drive or can any turkey drive them safely? Will a Forester have sufficient ground clearance? I will err on the side of caution.1 AnswerOther - Australia1 decade ago
I will be spending a couple of free days in WA after a business meeting in Perth. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to spend a couple of days? I don't particularly want to stay in Perth or Fremantle, and have already had a look at the south west. I was thinking of going inland to Wave Rock area. Is there anything to see on the way, or is it just wheat fields? What about heading north along the coast?
I am thinking a maximum of about 4 hours driving.4 AnswersWestern Australia (Perth)1 decade ago

Do hotels around Union Square / Fishermans Wharf get sold out around New Years? I am spending a few days in San Francisco around New Years and need to know if I have to make reservations well in advance, or can I wait until closer to try and get a better deal.
Is there anywhere else to stay in San Fran that is good for shopping and tourist stuff?3 AnswersSan Francisco1 decade ago
At 100 km/hr my Satnav shows a sped about 6 km slower than my speedometer. I suspect the Satnav is more accurate as it is an external measure of time and location, but I also can see an argument that its rate of sampling and curving roads may affct accuracy. Does anyone know?8 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade ago
My TV programmes tell me it is on. My eyes tell me that the rules have really been modified, to the extent that the cricket looks like a lamo American sitcom. What is going on?3 AnswersGeneral - Australia1 decade ago
I will be around Union Sq in San Francisco for the night of 4 January 2008 (a Friday). What time do the shops around there close?
Thanks for helping a bewildered Australian.4 AnswersSan Francisco1 decade ago
I am travelling to Perth for business. I will be finishing mid afternoon Friday, and will be flying out on Monday afternoon. I will have a car. I thought that a visit to the South West would be a good idea. What are the must see sights? Is it feasible to get to Denmark/Albany with time left over for sightseeing? I like scenery, plants and critters and am a keen photographer, particularly of bird life.4 AnswersWestern Australia (Perth)1 decade ago
