Even the worst quakes possible in California will not do that. Nearly all of the buildings will stand up under the worst quakes. The buildings are built to do that and have been for decades. Only a few building collapsed in the Sylmar and Northridge quakes. Yes some people died in those buildings. Out many millions around 150 people died. The Big One, a rip of the San Andreas, won't actually be in LA. Nor will kill many people, even near the fault line. It won't be fun but quakes are just not that bad if people are prepared.

They are designed that way. They are also designed to execute the first command in memory. Memory at that first part is usually in a some sort of permanent memory. These days that is usually some sort of erasable non volatile memory. At one time the starting memory was hard coded at time of manufacture. Later it was erasable by something external,... show more

  • In an article I read it says that, " the whole population of Israel probably wasn't 100,000 in the 10th century" (B.C.E.) but...?

The Bible has some really silly numbers in it. 600,000 thousand leaving Egypt in Exodus. The total population of Egypt at that time was 1,000,000. Don't expect accuracy in the Bible. It has quite a few errors of fact.

  • Why are cops allowed to kill people because they feared for their lives but a civilian can’t do the same thing?

"ut a civilian can’t do the same thing?" A civilian CAN, at least in some states. See George Zimmerman for an example of that.

There all kinds of things that could have gone wrong and I doubt you bought a new one because its silly to make these days. Get something that will play MP3s or AAC or better yet FLAC as well as the other two. Solid state memory is MUCH more reliable than disc changer.

  • Can you get sued for copyright if you design a shirt of a character from a popular tv show and sell it? Even if you don’t brand it as such?

IF it is YOUR drawing its not a copyright violation. BUT its a TRADEMARK violation. If its Disney and they find out, you MIGHT get a warning. Or be sued right without warning. Its not good idea to try that. You can be sued.
