This is now happening to a lot of us. Usually indicates a server problem, try again later and you should be good to go.

    Yeah the same thing is happening to me... I will go to log in, I log in, and then when I click in Mail, it asks me to put in just my password, password only, and then when I do, it just reloads the same page asking for my password.

    I dunno I guess Yahoo is messed up at the moment.

    This is exactly my same issue. I tried using Firefox browser to gain access, unsuccessful. Tried changing my password answering secret questions, still no access. I hope you get an answer soon so it will resolve the issue for both of us.

    ME TOO, have changed my password at least 10 times and I can log into my Yahoo account but when I try to get into my email then the log in page drops down and like o you think it could be the whole site having problems and maybe in a few hours it will be fixed?. What I am thinking is that my email is somehow locked or they are having problems straight across the board, but if you ask me its pretty poor service lately, but after going away for just one day and coming back today I tried to open my mail (4 in there) and I can't open the mail application, so it looks like you me and the rest of Yahoo from all the blogs I see on the page and look at the dates and times, they have had a lot of [people having email problems. To tell you the truth it kind of pee's me off because why doesn't (supposedly) the most used server site that I have used for and had the same password for almost 15 years, I think it was shortly after they actually opened up, that's how long I have been with Yahoo as my secondary account. And I remember having live help before, what gets me is people like us all give them our loyalty for years, they become the best out there and then they shave off important user perks like being able to speak to a live Tech agent or customer service rep that could likely have the problem fixed by typing in a new directive at their end and then it would be fixed, just like my satellite dish for TV. but at least I get help if I call them but Yahoo is beginning to scare me and maybe I should start looking for a more reliable secondary email address. Please send me an email to "my real account" at hbork@mymts.net if you find out how to fix it or hear some news about their email program being down, but if you go to this link you will be on the same page where I sent the email from

    Source(s):

    Self wanting to get feedback from a live body since the people at Yahoo can't seem to take the time to speak to anyone in person, lik,e whats going on here, before you know it we will never get to speak to someone one to one, which sometimes its an easy fix for you computer wizards but the rest of us have no idea why this stuff is happening and by ourselves the notes are hard to follow if you aren't a pro. It seems like most places you call these day you can't get a real person, everyone is way toooooooo busy multitasking but at least I get help if I call them but Yahoo is beginning to scare me and maybe I should start looking for a more reliable seconday email address. I use this as my reliable back up (but lately they haven't been very reliable so now I have to find a different address other than my Windows Live account.
