i'm 19 and weigh 72 kilos at 5.6 ft tall. i want to lose 10 kilos in the next 6 months, or shorter but i'm trying to be realistic about it. i'm eating food according to the weight watchers points program (although i'm not actually doing weight watchers) and i know all about metabolism boosting, lowering and all that stuff.
what i want to know is what kind of exercise is best for me to lose the weight? i really enjoy spin classes at the gym and swimming, but i've just read that both these are bad for losing weight. i'm not a fan of walking, i find it boring and running is okay, but i can't do it for very long because i get so out of breath (its a bit pathetic actually...).
anyway, are spin classes (RPMs) & swimming really bad for weight loss? and is there something else i should do?
Running. Burns the most calories per hour. You want to keep your heart rate between 75-90% to maximize it. Low impact workouts like swimming or elipticals or bicycles are good for a "down day" to give your muscles a break

I do it when i want to loose weight (i'm like oprah.. lazy and like sweets, then i go through times where i burn it all off). Also watch what you eat. Avoid too many sweets. Count your calories. 3,000 calories in a pound (convert that to kilos)
well you are making sure your eating the right food lay off bread for awhile or cut down .. yeah I cant run for long as well weights will help try and get your heart rate above 140 it is said that when your heart rate is over 140 you are meant to burn more fat .. for me im 81kg was 86kg so lost 5kg just by cutting down on eating things such as bread and by walking and sometimes gym
