What is the connotation of the word "unexploited"?

I want to used a word that means "not being used", but I'm having no luck finding one. Here are my sentences:

The date on the calendar is current, but has had no seminars scheduled since September of 2005, and has none scheduled within the next 10 years. It appears to be unexploited, either due to a lack of seminars being scheduled, or a lack of input of scheduled seminars.

Does unexploited work, or do you have better thoughts? Thanks!
