Why does Awake and Person of interest air at the same time?

Question

Why is this show airing at the same time as Person of Interest? Awake will drop in ratings because Person of Interest has already developed an audience I happen to LOVE both shows Can't NBC air AWAKE on Monday or Tuesday when nothing else worthwhile comes on?
KINGS was another GREAT SHOW that was cancelled. KINGS aired on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST When nothing else worth while was on but they moved it to Saturday (A DEAD ZONE) only after a few episodes and it DIED before it could ever get an audience! I am so PISSED that the 3 major networks are pushing reality $HIT in our faces.
May i also suggest that the networks go back to mini series so the audience can at least get a feel for for the new t.v. shows?
This method could give new shows a better chance of surviving.. Another solution would be to sell the show to CABLE FOX or SCYFY. It is so DDISAPPOINTING to start getting involved with a new show and then just DROP it!

Awake airs on NBC at 10/9C.... PoI airs on CBS at 9/8C... not the same time slot... and be clear CBS and NBC are COMPETITORS...

you say they should put it on Monday or Tuiesday... you mean the nights that CBS would kick it's @$$ in the ratings with 2.5 Men and Hawaii 5-0 or the NCISes

Kings was on on Wednesdays, where it was crushed, because it was a flawed premise... that it was 'burned off' on staurdays just means that NBC invested too much in it to stp airing it outright (considering how many shows with a 13 episode order get pulled at 5 or less should tell you how expensive it had to be to warrent a 'burn off'

to 'selling a show to cable' many shows have been shopped to cable channels and no one buys them... case in Point Terra Nova which had a 13 week run on Fox... it was shopped around for months and No one bought it
