Am I crash dieting correctly? Please read details.?

Hello. I am a 23 year old male who wants to join the military. Beginning last monday, I weighed 201lbs. The maximum weight for my height is 191lbs. Tday, I weigh 194lbs. I intend to lose 4lbs by next friday. So far, I have been having 1400 calories (healthy, balanced diet) a day, and jogging 6 miles a day. I intend to raise my calorie intake to 2000 a day after my weigh in on 4/27. Is this crash diet okay? I feel fine, and am not starving myself.

If you have to crash diet (never recommended of course), your plan is perfect. Make sure you take a multivitamin -- 1,400 calories a day is very low for a grown man. You should be between 1,800 and 2,000 if trying to lose weight normally.

After your next weigh in increase your calorie intake by like 300, Increasing to many calories all at once might put some fat back on you, its best to increase calories little by little so you can actually see how many more calories you need until you start becoming fat and how many you need to stay fit.
