My discharge smells like semen, why?

I see my boyfriend every weekend. we use condoms when we have sex, but every now and then we dont. For the past few weekends however, a couple times we didnt use one. im on the birth control pill too. About 4 days ago, i started getting discharge alot. alot comes out and its a yellowish, milky color. it doesnt itch, and i have no rash. It smells like semen and its uncomfortable for me. Any ideas on what this may be and what i should do?

It could be Bacterial Vaginitis Commonly called BV. It is not an STD, a virgin can get it, but you will need to see a Doctor to diagnose you and get the proper medication. It is basically caused by an imbalance in the good bacteria and PH in the vagina. Just having sex can throw the PH off for whatever reason, even experts aren't entirely sure why, but it is very common. It usually has a "fishy odor" during sex or right after. Also, women who take birth control pills are sometimes more prone to develop BV. It is best to see your Doctor about this.. sooner rather than later.
