HELP!!! I got my ears pierced and I am stuck in an odd situation:( ANSWER ASAP?

I got my ears pierced 9-10 weeks ago. I bought new earings from diva and I decided to change them this morning. I took one out 10 minutes ago and it stung when I was taking it out. The ear lobe is red and stings when I try put the new one in. I have soaked the new earings in an antiseptic ear care lotion. When I try remove the other one it stings straight away. What do I do? Do I take the other one out or put the old one back in my other ear? PLEASE HELP!! Lol this is actually kinda funny but I am seriously stuck!!!

You shouldn't change your earrings for at least the first 3 months; 6mos is better. Your ears are not done healing, hence the pain and redness. You don't mention what kind of earrings the new ones are, but if they are anything other than surgical steel, sterling silver, or 14kt gold you need to put the old ones back in and leave them in for a few more weeks (at least.) Don't apply rubbing alcohol to your ear though; I recommend hydrogen peroxide for soaking your earrings in (it takes about 15mins to disinfect) and you're probably going to need to gently clean them and twist them until they heal completely.

BTW, 9-10 weeks is *not* 3 mos. *cough*

It's quite possible that the new earrings are made of cheap alloy metals, and your piercing is reacting badly. Get yourself some silver, gold or surgical steel earrings to wear for a little while longer. You may find that after a while you can wear the cheap earrings, but you might only be able to wear them for a day.

I've had my ears pierced for 25 and 12 years (ears pierced twice) and I still react badly to costume jewellery.

The ear may just be irritated in minor situations u may want to try and take it out just to let the ear breathe. but on the other hand if u havent been cleaning it with alchol behind the earing for the first 9-10 weeks while it was in it may be infected thats wat happened to me a few years back and then i had to let them close and re pierce a few years later but i would go c a profesional before making those types of assumptions

Omg. 9-10 weeks is 3 months. When I got my ears pierced, I had to wear them for 6 MONTHS and my ears still got infected. I would suggest you put back on your piercing earrings back on and go
    1) Consult a doctor
    2) Seek help from the person who pierced your ears.

My ears were so bad all because I wore them for 6 months, not a year. They were green and fluid-y, and blood would gush out of them. First, take off any earrings and clean the hole in your ear lobe with antiseptic ear care medicine (what they give you to put on 3 times a day. If you don't have it, consult a doctor, or the person who pierced your ears), put back your piercing earrings (when I say this I mean the earrings you pierced your ears with.) unless they hurt so much you can't touch your ears. (if it hurts this much, really, make an appointment with your doctor ASAP)Then, talk to the person you got your ears pierced at (if you can't find them, like I couldn't then just go to the doctor I guess. I had my mom's help and within a couple of weeks of blood, fluid, medicine, and gunky greens, I was okay). Just make sure you don't keep it so long your ears close up, unless you can't take it anymore and you just wanted earring-less ears. You MIGHT be allergic to the metals the new earrings have, but I would consult a doctor first.

    Good luck!
