Is CNN and PBS scholarly???

It really depends on your teacher.
My history teacher is okay with using seemingly credible websites while my science teacher only allows scholarly journals. You can always ask your teacher if the articles you find are "scholarly" enough. You can always use http://scholar.google.com to find some nice journals that are completely reliable. Your school might also have access to databases that you can use, such as Gale.
