Afraid of never having a Girlfriend?
Hey guys.
I'm Roger. I signed up for three dating sites (eHarmony, Match.com and Plentyoffish) and after a full year, I couldn't find ANYBODY. I feel like I'm not good enough for ANY girl I like, since I'm six feet tall, I have long hair, I'm skinny and all I like is stuff like Stephen King, Nine Inch Nails, Science and Science-Fiction, and other stuff like that; I'm worried my personality and the stuff I like makes it impossible for me to ever have a Girlfriend, and since I lost hundreds of dollars to dating sites I'm scared of being a loser forever.
Do my interests and my appearence mean no girl will ever go out with me? Will I never have someone? I'm frustrated by the fact that EVERYONE else I know has had a girlfriend before and I haven't; I'm afraid that every girl I like is 'out of my league' and that it's impossible for a beautiful, sweet, smart girl to like me; or even look my way twice. What do I have to do to get a girlfriend without faking a personality that isn't mine? I've tried 'being yourself', and (In High School) IT DOESN'T WORK!
What am I supposed to do? Where would the kind of girl I like be? Is it even possible for a girl who I like to also like me back?

The best thing to do is probably go onto chat rooms/forums of the things you like! That way the things you like will be what brings you together. Don't be afraid for chatting to new people and being your self!
I'd try to meet people at gigs, bars, events etc that you're interested in. If you're worried about you're appearance, the only think you can do is man up, or try to improve it! I know that must sound harsh but eat well, take care of your self, get a hair cut. All of these things can help improve your confidence!
Hope this helps!

You seem like an alright guy to me. And i know that you already said that being yourself doesnt work, but in the end, if you're always yourself, it'll work. You just have to wait. The time will come.
