How to be friends with my crush?

Question

He isn't into sports so I can't go to a game, and we don't go to the same school anymore but I have him on facebook and we got nowheres and it was awkward. I thought I might just meet him in person, I know the places he hangs out, but he is always with friends. It shouldn't be hard because he is really outgoing and funny and talks to everyone. But I am scared and we don't have any common friends, my best friend lives across the street from him but I am not allowed to sleep at her house because her brother is on drugs and her dad acts sorta funny but maybe if I can get her brother to go somewhere I could go there for the day. Do you think tht would be a good idea just walk out side and wave and be like, "Hey, whats your name?" and he always says stay classy (he is really lame, but its cute at the same time) and I have a sponge bob shirt that says stay classy so I was thinking about wearing it. But I am sorta shy, but around boys I am sorta outgoing exspecially if I like them. So what to do, he is so perfect, and I am so not perfect.

Additional Details

He isn't PERFECT, but close enough for me!;) And he can drive and everything, and before my friend knew she tould me I reminded her of him, because they are in the same class.

If you like him so much when he is outside dont be scared approach him and startt be friendly like hi how you doing? Dont br scared.start to talk
