If I had to guess, I would say that older cars from up north would be cheaper than cars in the south because they probably have more salt damage & rust and are thus worth less.

I live in Alabama and was a dealer of 10+ year old cars for many years. Most of the time, they didn't have any rust or salt damage, when one did come, it sold for cheap because of the rust.

I doubt that price differences for the exact same car is going to be material depending on the state.

Ive heard that trucks from Texas might be a few hundred cheaper than some other states. With the cost to ship or drive it, the savings evaporate quickly.

    Well depends on what condition. When i was in VA i was seeing really clean old cars going for the same price as rusted out beater classics would be in my home state of MA. Im guessing down there cleaner cars and more common so they arnt valued as high where as here in new england ever thing rusts so a clean classic is more money. I have a 96 Bronco very clean i picked up in ma for $4000. To give you an idea for new england.
