What is the main argument against gays adopting?

what the f*ck could be so horrible about two loving parents who are financially stable and are ready to do their best for a child who really needs hope and a family?

what is the main argument against it, and any other smaller arguments?

The top three arguments I have heard most are:

1. The child needs a man and woman to raise it in order to function in society.

2. It increases the child's likelihood of being gay.

3. And the most retarded one I have heard: "because liking the same sex is perverse, gays are more likely to abuse the children."

and just to prove I disagree:

1. I along with countless others was raised by a single parent, I do just fine.

2. Best friends parents are gay, she is not. Need I say more?

Not that anyone accepts arguments against theirs. because they find a passage in their bible, or some pseudoscience study to make their point.

Sadly the only argument the prejudiced can offer against Gay adoption is that a child brought up by same sex parents is more likely to want to have a same sex relationship in the future. But since 99.9% of the LGBT community agrees that Homosexuality is something you are born with, so having same sex parents wouldnt affect your choice anyway, you're either gay or your straight, you can't teach someone to have feelings for the same sex.

In Australia, the argument is that a child needs both a male and female parent to have a balanced and normal childhood.

The childhood that they feel every child deserves.

Also; bullying. Yes, kids of gay parents get bullied for it by other kids. A lot.

I am gay myself - and that makes sense.

The ladeeda person raised some valid issues as are often tossed around.

1) If this is so, divorce should be illegal other than for the most serious issues. From the day a couple consider marrying they message should be told. If any children come along your stuck.
Sex when single should carry a very long jail term if the person does not use a contraceptive.

2) Until there is a controlled study done this is a claim made without base. But it does leave you asking, so then who made the children gay when they had straight parents.

3) Child abuse: The statics in fact say that the highest risk to offend person is natural father. He is followed by step father and mothers partner. Next is older brother. Then uncle and next people like teachers, priest and sports coaches. The most abused is girls. While mums don’t often abuse, in 9 out of 10 cases upon the issue coming to light the mum will side with the offender even to the point of lying to a court to save him.

The Bible in fact has no verse quoting God or Jesus expressing an opinion on homosexuality.
All verses that do were written by men.

It' well known that hanging out with tall people makes you tall. Same with gay folk. Those poor kids would turn gay and that again would spread. Have you ever dropped a stone into a pool of water? That's exactly how it works.
If they marry, they'll have gay offspring.
If America goes gay, There' no hope for the rest of the world.
