Poll: Should we raise taxes on the rich?

I don't think so. And i'm middle class so i'm not biased, I just don't think taxes are the solution.

The money has got to come from somewhere... the rich have more to give, so why not?

How could they not be?

Taxes notorious for people hating them because, yes, when the government overtaxes for useless things that usually happened in Monarchies, they are wasted. However, if we actually put forth a budget and got the proper amount of tax from everyone, then there's the possibility of better healthcare for one. Roads could actually be fixed, we could be supplying more jobs by taxing the corporations that are taking ours away by outsourcing to India and China.

Seriously. Think of before, we had the Industrial Revolution here! Now that it's cheaper on taxes to companies to just have workers -not in america- the warehouses, plants, factories have shut down! We took away jobs and are complaining about not having enough of them. It's the fault of those responsible for not taxing enough and regulating company overgrowth.

The economy, and taxes are so f--ed up.. It doesn't matter who you lower or raise the taxes on, because someone is going to end up getting screwed one way or another.

I'm in the upper class, and I think we should.

It's ridiculous that the poor pay higher percentages of their wages in taxes than those who are richer.

Yes.

It's ridiculous that some rich people(Such as Mitt Romney) pay less then they should, when people who are middle/lower class have to pay more when they NEED that money.

Well, we probably will have to cut Social Security, Medicare and such then because it is really hard to find that money anywhere else.
