Does a cheap clutch disc in a motorcycle reduce the the engine performance?

Bike pulsar 180 ug-4

Additional Details

I feel like the engine is getting stratined Beyond 60km/h.Where as earlier it happened only after 80km/h. All this started happening only after I changed my clutch disc and put a cheap engine oil too..wonder what the reason could be..

Not at first, but they won't take too much abuse before they start to fail. When it comes to clutches and brakes, it's best to go with the best you can afford,.

The clutch itself doesn't affect the motor. It simply connects/disconnects the transmission from the rear wheel (over simplified but you get the idea).

Cheap clutch plates will wear faster so you'll be replacing sooner. And if you try to compensate by running them past their useful life you could get trans (and safety) problems from rough shifting.

    Absolutely not!

It will however soon reduce your motorcycle's performance. The engine is 'in front' of the clutch in the total drive sequence, it is un affected by the clutch.
