AMD or Intel for gaming? What is the true verdict?

SO... this is always an ongoing war.
what really is the true answer?

the true anwser is that in games AMD and intel performce the same, for gaming only there is no gain in going intel over AMD a they both give you the same performace.
AMD is cheaper but works just as well for gaming
while Intel is a premium for ppl that do more heavy work and needs a fast cpu for not only gaming.

I believe its intel because my family owns a intel processor and it works great for games but im not sure about the amd because i have never owned one.(INTEL )

anyone know that intel cpu(i5 and i7 second gen) are a lot better than any amd cpu hands down,but they are more expensive
