Average wall height for large libraries/ballrooms?

Question

What would be the average wall height for say... a public library? (the ones you see in the cities, with separate floors and whatnot)


And a ballroom?







Someone please answer, it is for a project.

On palladian principles these were often built on the design of a cube or double cube resulting in very large rooms with high ceilings, in the case of libraries this allowed for a further 'floor' of shelving built as a gallery.
