Video editing software for mac?

Question

I was wondering if there is something more advanced than final cut pro x on mac i feel like it does not offer all than i want from it is there another program out there that offers more effects and more advanced settings i want to make extremely good looking professional videos or at least something close? and is avid media composer any good? im just wondering but any suggestion would be fantastic! i run mac only snow leopard just in case it helps and thanks!

Plan on getting lion and or mountain lion when it releases

Adobe After Effects?
That's a really good software.
I use Sony Vegas Pro, which is really great but that's not available for mac though ):

Avid is expensive but really good its top standard video editing :

adobe after effect and sony vegas pro are the best. You can also verify in search in internet but only for MAC ,Final cut is good.

For basic editing, Wondershare Vivideo for Mac is a great choice: It's also free trial, so that's always nice.
