What should I think about my ex saying this?

My ex and I are friends, and he does little things like he's always SUPER sweet and is always constantly wanting to talk, even last night he offered to change his signature with his gf's name just so I wouldn't be hurt, even if it was going to make her mad. Well we got on the subject of marriage and I said "the thought of marrying me probably freaks you out anyway lol" and he said "not really, just not right now" (he is 17 and i am 18). Okay, does this mean something or am I making something out of nothing?

It means at age of 17, the last thing a bloke wants to think about is marriage. Just chill and hang out. Have fun for 10 years, then talk about marriage.
