Live in the rain forest in a tent like other homeless people.

if you have family here you can live with them for free other than that your more likely to be homeless because owning a home can be really hard in Hawaii. The only occupations that provide free housings are the military, some college administrators and some corporate people. If you are not any of those why should you have the privilige to live rent free when even the local people here have a hard time paying rent.

if you had volunteered your skills, living rent free is not at all hard to do!

cleaning any sized home or care facility.......that has unused bed rooms

also, find an unsold parcel between Hilo and the coast directly south of Maunaloa.
and squat..........but again, what are your skills?

get arrested, or you can become homeless, stay on the beach until the police kick you off at like 2 in the morning.

As I said when I saw a similar question a few weeks ago in the NYC travel section, live in a cardboard box on the street.

Stay with relatives, or own some place outright.

End up in jail for a long time (though they'll probably ship you to the mainland).
