Where can i download windows messenger 2010?

Question

i downloaded windows messenger 2O11 and its rubbish , so tried looking for the windows live messenger 2O1O that i had before but i cant find it, do you know any sites/links ?

also, if you have messenger 2O11, is it possible to change your name like you could on messenger 2O1O, or can you only change your profile name ?

get WLM 2009 or 2011, the 2010 one is BETA

You can download the previous version of Windows Live Messenger here as it is still available for xp users.

No you cannot change your display name in Messenger 2011, it only allows you to use your real name which is seen in hotmail. If you name is wrong you would have to change it by logging in to hotmail itself or you can choose "Change my display name" in Messenger 2011 which will forward you straight to hotmail.
