Lucie Jones: why are people hating her?

Question

She's a nice girl. She's a good singer, one of the better ones.

And yet there are many who dislike/hate her. Is it jealousy that she's pretty? is it anti-Welsh? is it misogyny? is it that you dislike nice people? etc etc

What is your reason?

Since when are people hating her? the only person I've seen putting her down was Simon Cowell and all he said was she's boring. Personally I like her. I think she has a great voice, not quite Leona Lewis standard.....yet....but I think she could be. Don't think she'll win though. I think it'll be one of the males this year & please god anyone but those annoying little sh!ts Jedward!

When Simon said that thing to her about her singing like an actress or something which wasn't really that bad and then she started crying that was a bit annoying, I don't really dislike her but I don't like her I just forget about her, kinda boring.

I don't think most people dislike her, she just not their favourite, people are allowed to have opinions get used to it, it's not because they're jealous or racist or whatever they just don't like her, she's not even one of the most hated ones, she's never been in the bottom 2 or anything so I don't really understand this question...

I don't think people dislike her. Its more like she is easily forgettable.
Not everyone likes the same kind of voice. I really like Danyl's voice but many people hate it. Based on your assumptions am I then to believe that those Danyl haters are jealous because he is good looking, racist because he is black, a misandrist because he is male and generally nasty people because they hate anyone with a bit of self confidence? It sounds silly doesn't it!

Yes, she does have a good voice but it's not the kind of voice I prefer to listen to... imo, Stacey is so much better, nicer and genuine.

I think it's because she's changed her image and personality so much as the competition has progressed. She started of as a little girl doing ballads, and has completely changed now.

I really like her though, i think it's important to be as versatile as you can., and she's genuinely a nice person.

Because she likes to keep boasting how shes from a small village, when its a load of Bull,she lives close to Cardiff, Lloyd lives in a small village but hes not playing on it, and i know Lloyd lives in a small village cause he lives 10 minutes away from me and ive known him from a young age.

I do like her, I think she is nice and has a good voice. But sometimes when she sings the really high notes, she screeches. I think she is quite bland personality wise too. I forget she's there half the time.

i don't understand why people hate her, she seems like a genuine person and the articles in the press seem to agree with me.

I think she's nice...she's used to be a lot more cute and funny but now she is more shy, which I guess is understandable, but I kinda want the old Lucy back. But I do like her, just not to win.

shes my fave out of all the contestants this year! i never knew anyone hated her. everyone i know loves her. shes a great singer. i hate the twins!!! grrr sooooo annoying!

People hate her? She's so lovely and down to earth. It's probably just plain ol' jealousy. She's young and has more talent than most people.

No I like Lucie. She doesn't suit singing high tempo songs though, her voice isn't as good that way for some reason.
