Writing a Remebrance day Poem ?

Question

I have to write a remebrance day poem for a school slideshow. ( Grade 8 ) Someone in my class has written a fantastic poem and I want mine to be just as good.

I can be a very good writer if I have an outline of what I'm writing about. Any ideas ? But please, not about a soldier on the battle field or how to wear a poppy, everyone's doning that.

I just need an Idea and an outline of a story or something to follow, or along the lines of that .

P.s ( I'm Canadian )
and It'a about how we remember and vetrans and soilders

please don't just say " oh, write about a soilder"
because I've thought of all that
I need a detailed outline

Write about the american flag, and courage, and bravery, and patriotism.
