Why did it take God a whole week to create everything?
And why did he have to rest if he's so all powerful? Couldn't he have done it all in the blink of an eye?
Additional Details
Who says there was no time before creation? If a unit of time measurement was referenced, there must have been time.

God is male. So he probably did it all between naps on the couch. Which explains a lot of the weird stuff, like monkeys. Why did he make them?
If god were female everything would be a lot neater and orderly. And it would probably have been done in a Sunday afternoon.

Where do you people come from?
Where did this insanity get started?
God can do what he needs to do. He doesn't have to be able to do impossible things, or to pretend that sin doesn't exist and can't harm us, or to do the things he does instantaneously. Good grief.

Yes, but.... I mean, that doesn't mean he can't get tired from making a whole universe with all these living things, also he wanted to separate some things from good and bad. AND he did have like.... eternity to create everything so.....why rush?

There was no time at the beginning so a "week" could be anything from a billionth of a second to a billion years
and if you believe the Big Bang theory that all happened in much less than the blink of an eye.

God set an example of a work week for us. Work six days and then rest.
God did not rest in the sense of being tired. He rested as in stopped his work because He was finished.

Because God chose to take that long. God makes the rules.
