How many of you find reality tv stupid but still watch it?

Really, there's no such thing as "reality television".
Nobody can be "real" when surrounded by cameras, microphones, lights, producers, security - and all the other things needed to make a show. This even applies to professionals.
I imagine they're even told in advance roughly what to do and say.
Programmes would fall apart if they weren't organised.
I never watch it, for these reasons !

I don't mind things where people actually have to learn something or do something that will leave them with a career like The Restaurant or Apprentice. I live Strictly and Dancing on Ice.

BB abd IACGMOOH are shite, nothing ever happens.

And the X factor is the worst of all and insults anyone with a real ear for music.

Sadly most people on here seem to enjoy the mindless reality shows more than the 'worthwhile' ones. We get hundreds of Qs on X factor everyday but hardly any on SCD or the Restaurant. Sums up peoples intelligence methinks.

big brother (haven't watched it for 3 or 4 years )is full of knob heads who ain't themselves and just act like what they expect the viewing public want.there all ways seems to be the same "characters" a blonde bimbo,a misogynist,a bully, a zanny OTT one ,one that doesn't do fukc all but stays in the house for 7 weeks,and a couple who act like they are going to shag just to stay in the house but never do

come dancing/celebrities on ice thingy (never watch them ) whats so great about all ready famous people (if z listed celebs are classed as famous) getting more publicity

im a celebrity get me out of here. more people you've never heard of or celebs you thought had died 20 years ago parading around like they are something special ,must admit i do watch this as i love the way ant and dec just take the pi$$ out of the people and when theres people like the bloke from eastenders and the queens butler acting over scared like 2 year olds when on challenges it does crack me up.

xfactor im only watching because the twins are so bad they are brilliant ,i normally only watch the first 3 or 4 shows when they are showing the auditions but this year im hooked because of them two

I have to admit that the TV is on nearly all the time in my house but I never actually sit down in front of it to watch anything.
I use it more as background noise than anything,
I can't remember the last time I watched anything all the way through.

I am so guilty of this. It is like watching a reoccurring train wreck. But I suppose it is the same thing as people watching to an extent. The worst reality show I watch is the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Those women are a hot mess.

The only reality TV I watch is Strictly. I steer well clear of most of it however - especially X thingy and BB.

ps I also watch the Masterchef series.

Any clips I have seen of reality TV I have found totally stupid and boring and never watch any reality TV at all.
It's just a cheap form of entertainment making these programmes.
