How do you think Phillies fans will remember him? Even Brad Lidge who turned the momentum in the series in game 4 from being with 2 strikes, 2 outs and no one on in a tied game in the 9th could be forgiven. He was on as high a pedestal of greatness as Hamels was. How are you ever going to forgive Cole? He killed the spirit of comeback! Every time he pitched you'll have a horrible taste in your mouth!

A lot of people have newborns. My god. So you got a lot on your mind? Don't say anything. What is so hard about that? He had to go out of his way to say that. That isn't any excuse. Mitch Williams said he complained about the times of the games too. The only slack he might deserve is pitching on the day his wife was in labor. Everything else wasn't excusable.

I'm not a Phillies fan. I'm a Mets fan. So I love what he said. Especially after calling us chokers. His words came right back at him 11 months later. Phillies fans don't care if he won them a World Series. He killed them a chance at another. You don't think if the Phillies go another couple decades without a World Series they'll blame him for the curse?

cole hamels was wrong in sayin that. but he helped phils win a championship last year. how can you be mad at someone like him? and i also must add that he said that in a frustrating position so i can understand why he said it. he was just mad. he can say other stupid stuff but i will always remember him for 08.

Lets cut Hamels some slack here. He got a lot on his mind with the team and the newborn.
Every baseball players have their off-season,2009 just happened to be Hamel's.
Atleast there was Cliff Lee !
