Current Makati flood conditions? Is it safe to travel there now?

Hi, I have a plane ticket landing in Manila on October 7th. I'm planning to stay one night at Renessance hotel before flying out to another province. I will be in Phil about 21 days and currently plan to spend my last 5 days in Makati at Renessance. What are the current conditions in Makati near the Greenbelt? Is it still flooded? Is the greenbelt and Glorieta open for business? Is the airport fully functional? How about Edsa from the Airport to Renessance, is it open? Is traffic flow much slower than usual? I know that's alot of questions but I just wanna make sure I'm doing the right thing by coming at this time. I plan to get engaged to my girlfriend while I'm there so I really want to go so I can get the paperwork started for her Visa. I know that 2 more storms are expected but I don't see how they could be anywhere near as bad as Ondoy. I pray that it's not bad, Pinoy's have been though enough suffering already. Thanks for any info you can give!

Additional Details

Thanks for the info so far. We actually will not be needing to get to an embassy while I'm there, I just need to ask her to marry me and have her sign a form stating that she will marry me within 90 days of entering the USA. I didn't want to pop the question over the internet if you know what I mean.....hehe I want it to be something to remember. I deffinately do planning on donating while I'm there. I've been researching donation drop off places near greenbelt already. Thanks

As of today Sept 30, there are no floods on the roads from the airport, Rennaissance, in Greenbelt and Glorietta, and along Edsa. Traffic is usual. Stores in Greenbelt and Glorietta are open. You did not mention which embassy, but Roxas Blvd, Ayala Ave, & Buendia are not flooded either.

What is still flooded and/or muddy are areas around the Marikina River, primarily Marikina, San Mateo, certain low areas in Antipolo, Pasig, and parts of Bulacan. These are places that are nowhere near your route. But if you wish to donate while you are here, I think you still can, as the devastation in these places is heartbreaking.
