Can someone name me some really really good books for people between the age 13 and 18 please ?

I have run out of books to read and i dont know what books to get at the library what books would you recomend?

I am sorry if the list of books I am sending you does not belong to the category of adventure. But they may tackle sexuality. In fact, in my opinion, these are very good preparatory books for people age 13 and 18 for a freedom-enriched college life.

Teen-age life is a very critical stage of growth. A lot of adventures and misadventures happen. It is better that they are equipped than fall and regret it afterwards. (I thank my friend for lending me books from her collection).

"The Blind Watchmaker" by Richard Dawkins. I think it's a better read than "The God Delusion". It gives you broader knowledge. Maybe read Watchmaker, then Delusion.

"News from Nowhere" "The Little Prince"

Read some Sci-fi by Robert Heinlein. "Moon is a Harsh Mistress", a couple of others before you try "Stranger in a Strange Land".

"Kim" by Rudyard Kipling. Have you read "1984"?

Stephen Jay Gould has a lot of books of short articles he wrote for Natural History magazine. Each one is fascinating, and explores a subject about nature from a small detail to a large, mind blowing vision. He is very famous for how well they were written; reading them is like eating popcorn.

For some light hearted adventure, try the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Perkins. It is about a family who explore Egyptian tombs and pyramids and keep getting involved in murder mysteries. "The Mummy Case" is a good one to start with.

I actually read a Young Adult book not long ago that I really enjoyed. It's titled: A Great and Terrible Beauty

The author is Libba Bray.

Have you read "The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud"? One of my favorites. Not really a teen book, but it's a pretty easy read.

The Firebrand, by Marion Zimmer Bradley was a favorite of mine at that age.
