Why is it that filippino men cheat alot?

all my friend's dads did it at least one time. and men think if ur not married its ok to cheat!

actually, that's not true...it just depend on the person, not their nationality...most of the filipino men that i know are very passionate and one-woman kind of men...

It has nothing to do with being a Filipino.

But it has a lot to do with the society, the culture, the media, & the other influences that men are exposed to. If you will make a study about this, you will see that many men from any country cheat. And women do it too.

I disagree with bebe. Not all Filipino men cheat... it's just minority. And besides, it's not fair to categorize them as cheaters.

Let's just say, some men cheat..not all... because some men are pigs...but not all. And this goes for all nationalities! haha.

all countries have those kind of men.IT IS NOT ON BEING A FILIPINO.All men,at some point in time,will have doubts on love and this triggers men to cheat.All countries have those kind of guys.At the very least,divorce ss not legal here so it'll be hard to legally break the bond of love becuase of "cheating".

I don't know how old are you but in my understanding in your sentence all your friends dads cheat and men think it's ok to cheat if not married. It means all your friends are Bastards.. if your mom is not married to your dad, you are bastard too and don't tell us your dad never cheat, of course he did without your knowing, he doesn't need to be a Filipino to cheat. Don't think that all filipino men cheat. Most are quiet respectable and good guys. But if I have to answer for those who do cheat then it would be this. From what I have experienced so far alot of the guys there are pretty wishfull thinkers and they probably think that its ok because if my girl finds out then it will be ok because she won't leave me. That and some guys are just plain stupid. They would think to themselves its to good to pass up when they have good reason not to but do it anyway.

There is a culture there where people including girls have multiple partners who just see each other because of certain mutual benefits to a certain point where they are not serious so technically in their eyes it would be ok. Some just have multiple parnters for the sake of having someone or having someone different when it suits them. Strange practice but thats how things are now. Just do yourself a favour and stop trying to understand it and just don't follow suit.

It is not because of the nationality rather because of the gender.

Most guys do cheat, that is a fact. I agree that is is from their upbringing. If your father is a womanizer then theres a good chance you'll end up being one of them. On the other hand, since you experienced the problems associated with your dad's cheating, you'll end up raising a better family. I hope you'll end up as a better man.

not only Filipino men, but other nationalities and women too... when one operates on his primal needs and doesn't consider his superego (i.e. conscience) we as human beings are predisposed to act on it without any regard for anything or anybody -- whether it be eating, sleeping or sex. a sexual inclination to another human being draws them together and without the superego's help a sound decision cannot be reached. affairs happen. but not to every (and not exclusively to) Filipino men. If you fly across the other side of the world, you will be disappointed to know that the same thing occurs as well. People who think it's ok to cheat have underdeveloped superegos (i.e. maturity never sank in!). Never shortchange yourself by staying in a relationship (marriage or otherwise) that has dishonesty as its core value.

no..the question is..why is it that filipinas are so stuck up..i'm pinoy and i've yet to find a decent filipina..ANSWER THAT QUESTION...then i'll tell you why filipino men "cheat"..haha
