So, your shower and kitchen sink share the same drain. it sounds like that drain is blocked downstream from the kitchen sink allowing shower water to fill the kitchen sink faster than the drain line can take it. I would try a chemical drain cleaner first, if that doesnt work, then try a hand snake (tool available at most home improvement stores for phisicly clearing pipes not very expensive and good to have around.)
to use it you will probably have to remove the trap below the sink. (P shaped pipe that goes from the underside of the sink into the drain line. run the snake down the the drain line as far as you can. this should solve your problem. if it doesnt you'll have to get a plumber to power snake the line. i had it done within the last couple years and it was $75. a fair price in any community. if you use the hand snake prepare yourself for some prety disgusting smells. also beware of things that come back out with the snake. yuk. have a bucket. the black crud that comes out with the snake will stain.

If you have NO money, first try turning on the garbage disposal.... sometimes the vibration will shake loose the clog. If that does not work, grab a plunger and plunge the kitchen sink with all you've got.... otherwise, call a plumber.
If the toilets flush fine, your main line is clear, but it they do not flush well, you have a stoppage in the lateral and you will need plumer to run your lateral out to the street.

Your drain line is clogged of course. The clog is not at the kitchen sink or the shower. It is downstream of the kitchen sink. You could try lye or Drano. If that doesn't clear it, you can buy a plumbers snake for not too much money. Run the snake down the kitchen sink, if you can. Otherwise get under the sink and remove the trap. Then run the snake down. Actually the snake first goes up, toward the drain, but I bet you knew that.

Your drain line from the sink to the main sewer line has a blockage. Remove the trap under the sink, clean it, then use a plumbers snake to chase the line down the line. A hand snake may do the job, a power snake will work better. You may need at least 50 foot unit.

you can try disconnecting the trap under the sink and putting an air hose with a rage around it to stop the air from coming back out that way and pressurise it it might flush or stick a water hose in the pipe as far as it will go and turn the water on full blast that also pushes out the clog but if it is not strong enough of a blast the water will come back at you so be ready with a bucket and rages .
