Does blood type reveal personality traits?

According to a Japanese institute that does research on blood types, there are certain personality traits that seem to match up with certain blood types. How do you rate?

TYPE O - You want to be a leader, and when you see something you want, you keep striving until you achieve your goal. You are a trend-setter, loyal, passionate, and self-confident. Your weaknesses include vanity and jealously and a tendency to be too competitive.

TYPE A - You like harmony, peace and organization. You work well with others, and are sensitive, patient and affectionate. Among your weaknesses are stubbornness and an inability to relax.

TYPE B - You're a rugged individualist, who's straightforward and likes to do things your own way. Creative and flexible, you adapt easily to any situation. But your insistence on being independent can sometimes go too far and become a weakness.

TYPE AB - Cool and controlled, you're generally well liked and always put people at ease. You're a natural entertainer who's tactful and fair. But you're standoffish, blunt, and have difficulty making decisions.

that's interesting... I was about to ask about the connection between the two some days ago (after I had my blood type known with the sponsorship(?) of our school)... and now the question is here!

My blood type is O. (universal?) The result has always been that, a big O, after almost kicking the nurse when she pricked my fingertip. Other blood types, so I was told, are difficult to find. I don't know how the Japanese arrived at that conclusion, and I assume it is merely a hypothesis.

But how accurate these descriptions are for Blood Type O, my blood type.

I'm a trend-setter, loyal, passionate, and self-confident ......about this particular brand of brandy. My weaknesses include vanity and jealously and a tendency to be too competitive on the drinking table, so mostly I am the last man standing, or rather sitting, ......and drinking.

Minor correction please - Yes, I am very vain (mea culpa!) but a jealous (nor an envious) person I am not.

Tendency to be too competitive - Not in all cases. Oftentimes, I'm just happy to participate and give it my all but I don't set my eyes on winning. I do know my limitations.

cool and controlled - exact opposite.
well liked and put people at ease - you be the judge. lol.
entertainer - opposite again.
tactful and fair - I am trying to be fair.
blunt and difficulty making decisions - being frank and honest on my part has been contrued as blunt and offensive. Also, I am not having problem with making decisions.

I forgot what blood type I am but I sound like a type B based on the description. I'd be very surprised if I find out I were really a type B.

oh my god. i dont if it is real but it seems like it is real. im blood type A and they say im a good organizer and my worst attitude is being lazy.

the description actually gave an accurate description of me. i dont know if i will believe this. even those written on the linked given by the other commenter

But the universal blood type is O. It is the most common.

What is the implication? Maybe that is why there is a surplus of people wanting to be leaders, a surplus of people wanting to be trendsetters, a surplus of very very competitive people.

If this were true, then I only wish that the descriptor for Blood Type O should have gone to the blood types that are more rare. Then there will be a better chance for peace and harmony.
