you might have pneumonia, i had it not too long ago and coughed up yellow Flem. I took Tylenol and i felt fine but an hour later i was still very sick. I had strep throat first but then got pneumonia and i coughed so much that it was hard to breath. you should check with your doctor to make sure you get the right medication. Hope you feel better.

Take a flashlight and look down the back of your throat. If the back of your throat is very red looking (or white looking), or just does not look normal, than it probably is strep. Also, are you having trouble swallowing? Those are signs of strep.
Either way, drink lots of fluids (primarily water) and rest. No skating!

Have someone look to the back of your throat with a flashlight. If there are white pockets that look like pus-filled sacks on your soft pallet, then yes, you have strep throat. Even without the pockets though there still may be a problem. Too much coughing can cause hernias! I'm not big on doctors, but if it keeps up too long then you may need to get it looked at.

The only way to know is for your DR. to take a throat culture. If it is a Strep. Bacterium infection you'll need to take antibiotic for about 12 days, otherwise it can go to your heart.

Usually if you have strep throat you have white spots in the back of your throat. You may also be running a fever. Also, as the disease progresses, you may also develop body aches, similar to the flu. If you have strep, you definitely need to see a doctor for antibiotics.
