Amoxil (amoxicillin trihydrate) may be prescribed for UTI. This is amoxicillin alone. Augmentin (amoxicllin and clavulanate potassium) may be prescribed for UTIs caused by susceptible strains of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Depending on the causative organism, the other antibiotics that may be prescribed are (in alphabetical order) amikacin, ampicillin, aztreonam, cefaclor, cefadeoxil, cefepime, cefotaxime, cefotetan, cefpodoxime, ceftazidime, ceftizoxime, ceftriaxone, cefuroxime, ciprofloxacin, co-trimoxazole, cycloserine, ertapenem, flucytosine, gatifloxacin, imipenem & cilastatin, levofloxacin, nitrofurantoin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin, phenazopyridine, sulfisoxazole, ticarcillin, ticarcillin & clavulanate and trimethroprim.

This better be enough.
