Tell me about Lexipro?
I recently started taking lexipro... I've been on it before but I'm getting wicked side effects. It's only 10mg.... Is anyone else suffering from this drug as much as myself?

Lexipro is a new drug that is formulated from Celexa.
Any drug, antidepressants or others, will effect each person differently. No one has the exact same chemical makeup in their bodies.
you can read about it at www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/lexapro_ad.ht…

However, it is best to talk to your doctor about any side effects you experience that are particularly bothersome.

I was on it for 5 months and had no effects at all - good or bad. SSRIs are weird like that. If you still have side effects that don't decrease in a month or two, tell your doctor.

Lexipro is one of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors used to treat depression. It is one of the isomers of a very similar drug, Celexa, and was basically developed so that the manufacturers could extend their patent since the patent of Celexa was due to expire.
You don't say what the side effects are. There are a variety of side effects of increasing your serotonin, such as insomnia, jitteriness, nausea, and decreased libido and/or trouble reaching orgasm.
I would get to your therapist to try a different drug for depression, otherwise you may find that you will develop tolerance for the side effects with time. Good luck.

Let me see, Lexipro is a good antidepressent, but the first couple weeks I felt horrible! I had nausea 24/7, and riding or driving in the car amplified it tenfold! I was dead *** tired and just wanted to sleep! I craved sweets and gained 10 lbs. Some antidepressents can give you bad dreams and have you "see" things at first. But after the two or three weeks, I started feeling normal . My anxiety waned....I can drive the freeway without freakin' out! YEAH! And my "dark" times only last, but a short while instead of long days!
