Does anyone have a Vegan BRITISH Yorkshire Pudding recipe? I don't mean the AMERICAN biscuit thing.?
I am fed up with the American biscuit "yorkshire pudding" thing that came out of my oven twice after following the recipe on the internet.
I need the recipe for the British British Yorkshire pudding.
Thanks

Yorkshire Puddings
3 oz (85g) white fat
4 oz (115g) self raising flour
pinch salt (fine)
½ pint (280 ml) soya milk
2 oz (55g) whole egg replacer
1. Preheat the oven to highest temp, 220°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7.
2. Put 1 tsp fat in each compartment on a bun tray with 12 compartments. Put the tray near the top of the oven with a baking tray underneath to catch drips.
3. Mix the flour and salt with a hand whisk very thoroughly. Mix the egg replacer into a smooth paste with about 2 fluid ounces/60 ml of water. Mix this in with the milk in a jug.
4. Once it is ready to go in the oven i.e when the oven and fat are very hot (this will take at least 10 mins) add half of the liquid to the dry mix. Mix it into a smooth batter (paste) then add the remaining liquid. It should be like cream, if it’s too thick add more liquid.
5. Transfer the batter to a jug and fill each compartment to the top. It should sizzle as it goes in. Do this as quickly as possible before the heat gets out. Cook for 15-20 mins.

shouldn't such recipes like Yorkshire puddings be savoured by those that really appreciate the combination of real eggs, milk and flour. and not messed around with to fit your self imposed diet restrictions.
200ml of organic free range eggs
200ml of green top milk
200ml of unbleached flour
bake at 200oC for 10 Min's, turn over down to 180oC and bake for a further 10 Min's
open the oven door, make the usual aunt Bessie joke and giggle before serving the finest Yorkshire pudding in the land.

Vegan would surely mean egg free? How could you make yorkshires without eggs?

Guess you could just use *Rice Milk and *Rice flour or *soya milk and *soya flour or wheat flour.
Yorkshire pud is usually made with milk, egg and flour.
Vegans don't eat anything from the animal so I guess you may have a difficult time - you are likely to get a more biscuit affect with ** and **
